BeEFBox: Your Ultimate Pentesting Drop Box

The BeEF Box draws approximately 3-5W under normal operation (depending on CPU load). When powered via 802.3af PoE (15.4W), the device can operate indefinitely as long as the network connection remains active. We recommend using quality PoE switches or injectors for mission-critical deployments.

We provide quarterly firmware updates through a secure, authenticated channel. The update process can be automated or performed manually via:

• SSH connection with signed packages
• Web interface with checksum verification
• Physical microSD card update (for air-gapped environments)

Pro Toolkit owners receive early access to updates and security patches.

In controlled testing environments with line-of-sight, we've achieved:

• 802.11n @ 2.4GHz: Up to 70m (230ft) with stock antenna
• With external antenna: Up to 120m (400ft) (not included)

Actual range varies significantly based on environmental factors (walls, interference, etc.). For penetration testing scenarios, we recommend keeping deployment distances under 30m for reliable connectivity.

The BeEF Box uses several techniques to evade detection:

• Randomized MAC addresses (configurable)
• Low-power network signatures
• Encrypted C2 channels with variable timing
• Process masquerading techniques

However, no hardware is completely undetectable to determined defenders with comprehensive network monitoring. The Pro Toolkit includes additional evasion modules and techniques used by advanced red teams.
